Our Kids Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) classes are fun, high-energy sessions emphasizing physical fitness, conditioning, coordination, and concentration. Instead of learning just one style of Martial Arts, our kids learn the fundamentals of Kung Fu, Muay Thai, San Shou, Boxing, Jiu Jitsu and Catch Wrestling. This MMA program, designed specifically for children, offers a complete system of self defense.
As they improve, students may earn the opportunity to further develop their skills through light sparring. We offer children an environment to develop self-esteem, confidence, discipline, and respect for others.
The Kids MMA class sizes are kept small with no more than twelve students per class, allowing our coaches to work more closely with each student.
The Kids MMA classes are available to children aged seven and up.
Kids Western Martial Arts
Fearless Fitness is one of just a handful of schools in the United States that offers a Western Martial Arts (WMA) program for children. The Kid's WMA class is available to children aged ten and up. The class uses the Italian Sidesword which is sometimes referred to as a cut and thrust sword. The curriculum for the Kid's WMA class is based on historical documents covering the Bolognese (Italian) system. It draws from such masters as Achille Marozzo, Antonio Manciolino, and Giovanni dall'Agocchie.
The Bolognese system offers a wide range of techniques in cutting and thrusting as well as striking with the pommel and grappling. The sidesword was also commonly paired with an offhand weapon such as the dagger, cloak, buckler, or even a second sidesword. The students will have an opportunity to use these secondary weapons as they advance.
The classes are fun and entertaining, combining exercise, discipline and history. The training swords used in the class are called "wasters" and are made of wood.
